Job summary

VAE Group’s Cairns team is seeking a BMS Technician to maintain and troubleshoot planned maintenance, reactive faults, controls issues and small works on commercial BMS systems.

Ideal candidates are trade-qualified Refrigeration Technicians or Electricians with strong fault-finding skills, extensive BMS experience, and the ability to work independently while delivering client-focused service. Familiarity with Niagara is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Refrigeration Technician or Electrician.
• Strong fault finder with good diagnostic skills.
• Extensive experience with BMS controls in commercial environments.
• Able to work independently and know when to ask for support.
• Practical approach to solving problems and offering solutions.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients.
• Experience with Niagara is desirable and valued.

• Carry out planned maintenance on BMS systems.
• Respond to reactive faults and resolve issues promptly.
• Address controls issues and perform small works.
• Liaise with clients to understand needs and provide updates.
