Job summary

AustCorp Executive in Melbourne is seeking a Service Technician for BMS and Building Automation systems. You will carry out service, updates, configuration and programming across diverse projects, focusing on energy efficiency and system reliability.

This role involves diagnosing faults, liaising with clients, producing service reports, and sometimes commissioning small projects. A valid Restricted Electrical Licence and a current Australian Drivers Licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and commissioning BMS/HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking and communications.
• Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus protocols.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, standards and plant operating instructions.
• Licensed to perform restricted electrical work in Australia.
• Valid Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled service and updates for BMS and Building Automation.
• Configure and program BMS/HVAC control systems.
• Carry out scheduled routine maintenance in a specific region to improve energy efficiency.
• Assist with commissioning and small project works as needed.
• Liaise with clients to discuss upgrades, integration and building efficiency.
• Produce accurate service reports and documentation.
• Respond to client service requests and scheduling.
• Investigate and diagnose faults and provide commissioning reports as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled service & updates for BMS and Building Automation.
• Configuration and programming of BMS/HVAC control systems.
• Carry out scheduled routine maintenance in a specific region improving energy efficiency.
• Diverse role which can include commissioning and small project works.
• Liaising with clients recommending upgrades, integration and building efficiency.
• Report Writing - Producing accurate service reports.
• Respond to client service requests, programming and point to point scheduling.
• Relationship building and support with existing and new customer service.
• Investigating and diagnosing faults
• Providing technical support & Commissioning Reports as required
  

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience in programming and commissioning BMS/HVAC systems
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of IP related protocols, networking and communications
• Strong knowledge of Controls Protocols including BACnet and Modbus
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, standards and plant operating instructions
• Restricted Electrical Licence
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
