Job summary

Carrier Automated Logic Australia Pty Ltd, based in Brisbane, is seeking an entry-to-mid level technician to service, commission and support BMCS/DDC systems. You will assist with configuration, testing and basic programming while learning from senior engineers.

The role offers a full-time permanent position with structured training, career development pathways and exposure to industry-leading technology. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Qualified (or working towards) in HVAC, Mechatronics or Electrical.
• Interest or foundational knowledge in Building Management Systems or HVAC.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, preventative maintenance and commissioning of BMCS/DDC systems.
• Support software configuration, testing, calibration and basic programming.
• Troubleshoot system issues with senior technicians and engineers.
• Ensure site work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Contribute to documentation, reporting and project coordination.
• Participate in site meetings and ongoing training.

What you’ll be doing

• Assist with servicing, preventative maintenance, and commissioning of BMCS/DDC control systems
• Support software configuration, testing, calibration, and basic programming
• Work closely with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Help ensure all site work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and project coordination
• Participate in site meetings, safety briefings, and ongoing training
• Provide support to customers and internal teams when required

What we’re looking for

• A qualification (or working towards) in HVAC, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related field
• Interest or foundational knowledge in Building Management Systems or HVAC
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, systems, or programming exposure is a plus)
• A positive attitude and pride in delivering quality work
