Job summary

Honeywell Technologies Brisbane seeks a Service Technician - Building Management Systems (BMS) to join the Building Automation TAM team. You will maintain and optimise BMS/HVAC controls and deliver reliable outcomes for customers.

Reporting to the Technical Facilities Supervisor, you will fault-find, configure systems, work with BACnet/Modbus, and prepare service reports while prioritising safety and customer service. On-site role at QCC, Brisbane, Australia.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with BMS, HVAC controls or building automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and quality outcomes.
• Sound knowledge of HSE practices.
• Restricted Electrical Licence (Instrumentation & Process Control preferred).
• Open Cabling Licence (advantageous).
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, configure and maintain Honeywell and third-party BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and system optimisation using software and field-based tools.
• Work with industry-standard protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
• Identify and implement system improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency and performance.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver solutions within agreed budgets and timeframes.
• Collaborate with Honeywell teams, subcontractors and other trades to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Prepare service reports, recommendations and quotations for additional works.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, hazard identification and risk management.
