Job summary

Westbury Partners in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Blockchain Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer to design, deploy, and operate high-availability blockchain infrastructure, including validators, nodes, and on-chain services. You will work across cloud and bare-metal environments to support Solana, Ethereum, and related networks.

You will automate with Terraform, Ansible, Salt, and Bash; monitor with Prometheus and Alertmanager; and collaborate with distributed teams to ensure security,

Qualifications

• Passionate about blockchain technology and eager to learn.
• Experience operating proof-of-stake blockchain infrastructure, ideally Solana or Ethereum.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, networking, monitoring, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Prometheus and Alertmanager for monitoring.
• Experience across cloud and bare-metal infrastructure environments.
• Proficient with Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or similar automation tools.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex production systems.
• Proficient in Bash and programming languages such as Python, Golang, or Rust.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, key management, hardening, and intrusion detection.
• Familiarity with on-chain trading, DeFi is advantageous.
• Ability to work quickly, independently, and across competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining complex blockchain infrastructure across cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Managing proof-of-stake infrastructure and supporting blockchain networks such as Solana or Ethereum.
• Developing and maintaining automation using Terraform, Ansible, Salt, and Bash.
• Operating Kubernetes-based infrastructure and Linux systems.
• Monitoring infrastructure using Prometheus, Alertmanager, and related observability technologies.
• Troubleshooting networking, distributed systems, and production infrastructure challenges.
• Evaluating emerging blockchain technologies and incorporating valuable developments into infrastructure strategies.
• Applying strong security practices to infrastructure, cryptographic keys, and production systems.
• Supporting high-availability operations across a globally distributed environment.
• Engaging with external partners and technical communities to share knowledge and explore opportunities.
