Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Shotfirer for on-site operations at our NSW Hunter Valley site. Reporting to the Supervising Shotfirer, you will contribute to the blast team and ensure daily targets and safety standards are met.

The role requires a current NSW Security Clearance (UHL) and EUL for Open Cut Coal Mining, with experience in electronic and Nonel initiation systems, stock management, and strong collaborative communication.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Clearance (UHL) and Shot firing Blasting Explosives Users Licence (EUL) for Open Cut Coal Mining.
• Experience in shot firing operations using electronic and Nonel initiation systems.
• Experience in stock management and bulk material loading.
• Collaborative communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fluid/dynamic environment as part of an adaptive team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day field operations and meet targets.
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
• Meet community and environmental compliance objectives.
• Oversee transport and delivery of dangerous goods safely.
• Maintain high housekeeping in magazines, magazine compound, explosive vehicles and work areas.
