Reporting to the Regional BIM Manager APAC, the BIM Manager Australia leads BIM delivery across assigned projects, acting as the Lead Appointed Party in accordance with ISO 19650.

Operating from the Front Office, this role provides project-level leadership, governance and quality assurance to ensure compliance with B&W BIM standards and client information requirements. While model production is delivered by the Global Design Hub, the BIM Manager is accountable for coordination, information management, compliance and formal acceptance of digital deliverables.

Working closely with design disciplines, project managers and external stakeholders, the BIM Manager serves as the primary BIM interface with the client, ensuring structured, auditable and efficient digital delivery across the project lifecycle. Regional and global BIM standards and strategy remain under the direction of the Regional and Global BIM Leads.

About the Role

  • Align BIM delivery with overall project objectives in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Monitor workflows, identify risks and implement continuous improvement measures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and relevant building services standards (including BSRIA BG6 where applicable).
  • Challenge or reject non-compliant information to maintain delivery integrity.
BIM Planning & Information Management
  • Develop and manage the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Ensure alignment with client Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).
  • Manage the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and review Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).
  • Oversee information delivery milestones, approvals and status codes.
  • Coordinate BIM resourcing between the Front Office and Global Design Hub.
  • Identify and elevate risks to digital delivery proactively.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary BIM interface with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and chair BIM coordination meetings and model reviews.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across design disciplines and consultants.
  • Establish clear communication and governance protocols to support project milestones.
  • Apply regional standards for Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Common Data Environment (CDE) configuration.
  • Ensure accurate issuance, review and approval of project information within the CDE.
  • Promote consistent use of BIM platforms across project teams.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and structured feedback between teams.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
  • Formally accept or reject information deliveries on behalf of the Appointed Party.
  • Review models and outputs prior to external issue to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement project-level quality control procedures aligned with B&W standards.
  • Support construction-phase information delivery and asset data handover where required.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of BIM processes.
