Mossop Construction + Interiors are a proudly owned and operated family business, backed with over 40 years of experience in the South Australian construction industry. Through the collaboration, innovation and passion of our team, Mossop have become leaders in commercial construction and fit-out projects across both Tier 1 and 2. Mossop are committed to delivering exceptional results and it’s our 150+ staff that make this possible, going the extra mile and bringing their expertise to every project, no matter the size or value.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to join our growing BIM team.

This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative, technically focused environment where BIM is more than just modelling — it is an integral part of how we identify issues, improve buildability, coordinate trades and ultimately deliver better projects.

As a BIM Coordinator, you will work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, Construction Managers, consultants, trades and site teams to manage the BIM requirements across your projects.

Your focus will be on developing and maintaining coordinated, federated and highly resolved design and construction models, ensuring accurate BIM information is available throughout the project lifecycle — from tender and pre-construction through to construction and as-built documentation.

You will play an important role in identifying design discrepancies, resolving coordination issues, improving buildability and ensuring project teams have reliable information when they need it.

The role will also see you championing the use of Autodesk Forma Construction Cloud, helping project and site teams make the most of coordinated 3D models and digital information on site.

Duties include:
  • Support tender and pre-construction activities, including buildability reviews, take-offs and scoping of project-specific BIM deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain coordinated federated models, incorporating the latest trade and consultant information.
  • Coordinate shop drawings, identify clashes and resolve design and buildability issues before they reach site.
  • Work closely with Project and Design Managers, consultants & trades to keep BIM deliverables on track.
  • Chair BIM coordination meetings and maintain project reports, curate quality digital data/documentation and meeting records.
  • Manage document control through Autodesk Forma Construction Cloud, ensuring teams always have access to current information.
  • Prepare 3D model views and files for site teams to use on laptops and mobile devices, Autodesk Forma Construction Cloud.
  • Provide project-specific support across set-outs, services coordination, detailing and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate, Federate & curate Design, ‘Work In Progress’ Trade & As Built models and all digital project information through to project completion.
About You:

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical BIM capability with excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

You will ideally have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Architecture, Design, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience as a BIM Coordinator, Architect and/or Drafter within construction or building services.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
  • An understanding of construction processes, documentation and coordination.
  • The ability to interpret design information and identify potential buildability issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to manage competing deadlines around critical project activities.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine desire to improve processes.
  • The confidence to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
  • The ability to both lead and contribute effectively within a team.

As our people are required to attend government, health and education facilities and construction sites, it is a condition of employment for this role, that the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, background police check and working with children clearance is adhered to.

Due to the high volume of applicants, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
