Job summary

Cancer Council NSW seeks a part-time Liaison role across NSW hospitals to provide face-to-face information, service navigation and emotional support to people affected by cancer. You will work with SWSLHD and CCNSW teams, requiring Arabic language skills and travel across the district.

The role emphasizes CALD engagement, coordination with health professionals, and building access to supportive care across facilities and community services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of the supportive care needs of people affected by cancer.
• Experience working with CALD backgrounds, specifically Arabic, in health settings.
• Experience communicating with professionals and community audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and navigation to CCNSW, SWSLHD and other services.
• Offer short-term emotional support to patients and carers.
• Collaborate with health professionals to support patients and CALD communities.
• Establish referral pathways with oncology services and CCNSW programs.
• Raise awareness of CCNSW supportive care programs and services.
