Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Senior Process Specialist to join a secure, enterprise environment supporting critical infrastructure in Melbourne, VIC. The role focuses on designing scalable data pipelines using Spark and Scala, delivering real-time and batch processing solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet project goals.

The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure high-quality, well-tested code while supporting

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering or Big Data development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Scala and Apache Spark.
• Experience building real-time and batch data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Hive, HBase, HDFS and the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities
