Job summary

Eaton in Sydney is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead end-to-end development of complex, multi-product bids involving prefabricated and integrated electrical solutions.

You will coordinate inputs from factories, product lines, estimators and commercial teams to deliver high-quality, compliant proposals and maximise win probability in large-scale opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of bid management experience in electrical engineering and complex, multi-scope or integrated bids.
• Exposure to prefabrication, modular construction, or integrated systems is highly desirable.
• Understanding of electrical systems (MV/LV, power distribution, switchgear, etc.).
• Familiarity with estimating practices across multiple product lines.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management across distributed teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and submission of complex prefab and integrated solution bids.
• Manage bid timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple factories, product lines, and engineering teams.
• Consolidate estimates from different product groups into a single cohesive offer.
• Work closely with Eaton estimators across product lines to develop pricing.
• Ensure proposals clearly articulate the integrated solution, including prefab designs.
• Oversee development of technical documentation, compliance matrices, and submissions.
• Partner with Sales to develop winning bid strategies.
• Define differentiators for prefabricated and integrated solutions.

The role acts as the central integration point across distributed teams, ensuring alignment of technical solutions, pricing, and delivery strategies to maximise win probability in large-scale, strategic opportunities.

Key Duties

• Lead planning, execution, and submission of complex prefab and integrated solution bids.
• Manage bid timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple factories, product lines, and engineering teams.
• Consolidate estimates from different product groups into a single cohesive offer
• Work closely with Eaton estimators across product lines to develop accurate and competitive pricing.
• Ensure consistency in cost assumptions, margins, and risk allocations.
• Ensure proposals clearly articulate the integrated solution, including prefab designs and delivery models.
• Oversee development of technical documentation, compliance matrices, execution plans, and commercial submissions.
• Partner with Sales and Solutions Architects to develop winning bid strategies.
• Define key differentiators for prefabricated and integrated solutions (speed, quality, modularity, cost efficiency).
• Lead governance processes including approvals, legal review, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Implement structured bid methodologies and best practices.
• Develop reusable content for prefab/integrated solutions.

Qualifications
