Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in social/psychology/counselling/theology with two CP Education units.
• Post graduate qualification in bereavement.
• Eligibility for membership/registration with relevant professional bodies.

Responsibilities

• Completes bereavement risk screening and psychosocial/spiritual assessments.
• Conducts screening and follow-up for clients at risk of complicated grief.
• Undertakes bereavement counselling using theoretical frameworks.
• Engages with clients' spiritual wellbeing and provides discharge planning.
• Facilitates bereavement groups and participates in the interdisciplinary team.
• Documents client records and maintains continuity of Bereavement Service.
