City of Greater Bendigo is seeking a versatile team member for Bendigo Airport. In this part‑time role you will assist with airport operations, perform aerodrome inspections and maintenance to ensure safety, compliance and continuous improvement, and support customers and passengers. Key duties include runway and taxiway inspections, airside works and grounds maintenance.

Training is provided. The position works on a rotating roster with early starts, late nights, weekends and on‑call shifts,

• Experience in grounds management and maintenance or a trade background.
• Customer service focus and strong attention to detail.
• Computer skills including data entry and record keeping.
• Interest in aviation and willingness to learn.

• Band 4, Starting salary $76,601 (Pro rata) (incl Industry Allowance) plus superannuation

The Role

In this varied role, you will have exposure to all aspects of airport operations in a regional airport environment.

You will provide effective and efficient aerodrome inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, undertake safety checks and provide customer service to our passengers. Key duties include:

• Runway and taxiway inspections
• Airside works support
• Maintenance – grounds and gardens
• Cleaning activities

A pre-employment medical, assessment of police record and drivers licence is required for this position.

About You

Experience in grounds management and maintenance or a trade background with a previous work history showing an ability to undertake a range of varied tasks is required.You will have a customer service focus, strong attention to detail, computer skills including data entry and record keeping skills and the ability to plan, organise and manage your time effectively.

Experience within aviation is not necessary (although desirable) as training is provided, but an interest and motivation to learn about all thing’s aviation will serve you well.

This part time role is on a rotating roster which includes early starts, late nights, weekends and on call.

The role is located at the Bendigo Airport in East Bendigo with onsite parking available.
