Job summary

Community Solutions Apprenticeship and Traineeship Vacancies – Mackay QLD is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans for individuals, families and support networks.

You will conduct assessments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and coach providers to deliver compliant PBS interventions in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Developmental Education or related field.
• Registration preferably as a Core Practitioner.
• Experience developing and implementing PBS plans in complex settings.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills as you will be working with billable time.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to drive, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Complete Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support plans
• Collaborate with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.
• Build the capacity of support teams through coaching and mentoring.
