Iconic Brow Wax N Beauty is seeking a skilled Beauty Therapist to join its team in Queensland. The role involves providing professional beauty services with a focus on client care, hygiene and presentation.

Responsibilities include consulting with clients, performing facial treatments, makeup, hair removal, eyelash and brow services, and cosmetic tattooing. The candidate should have at least 1 year of related experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum AQF Certificate III including on-the-job training.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related position.
• Strong knowledge of beauty treatments and hygiene practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand beauty needs and recommend treatments.
• Apply makeup according to client preferences.
• Perform facial treatments including cleansing, exfoliation and skin rejuvenation.
• Provide hair removal services including waxing, threading, bleaching and tinting.
• Carry out eyelash and eyebrow treatments such as extensions, lifts and lamination.
• Carry out cosmetic tattooing procedures per safety requirements.
• Monitor quality and effectiveness of treatments and products.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Task & responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their beauty needs, assess skin conditions, and recommend suitable treatments and skincare services.
• Apply general and corrective makeup according to client preferences and requirements.
• Perform facial treatments, including deep cleansing, exfoliation, and skin rejuvenation.
• Provide hair removal services, including eyebrow and body waxing, threading, bleaching, and tinting.
• Perform eyelash and eyebrow treatments, including eyelash extensions, lash lifts, and eyebrow lamination.
• Carry out cosmetic tattooing procedures in accordance with industry standards and safety requirements.
• Monitor the quality and effectiveness of beauty treatments, techniques, and products to ensure client satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety when handling equipment and performing treatments.
• Manage client bookings, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate client records.
• Recommend and sell suitable skincare and cosmetic products based on clients needs.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related position.
• Strong knowledge of beauty treatments, skincare products, and relevant hygiene and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to understand client needs and recommend suitable treatments.
