Job summary

Wax et Beauty is seeking a skilled Beautician Therapist to join our Smithfield salon on-site in Queensland. This contract position focuses on delivering beauty and therapeutic treatments with the highest standards of client care and professionalism.

You will perform waxing, facials, massages and skincare services, consult with clients, maintain records and uphold hygiene protocols while contributing to a welcoming salon atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Certified in beauty therapy or equivalent.
• Experience as beautician/beauty therapist in a salon setting.
• Proficient in waxing, facials, massage, and skincare services.
• Strong knowledge of skincare ingredients and applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; hygiene and professional conduct are a must.
• Willingness to obtain health and safety certifications if not already held.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing and detailed manual work.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Passion for beauty, wellness and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide waxing, facials, massages and other beauty/therapeutic treatments.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Beautician Therapist to join the team at Wax et Beauty in Smithfield, QLD. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional beauty and therapeutic treatments to our valued clients. You will be working in a vibrant salon environment, providing a range of beauty services whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client care. This role is based on-site at our Smithfield location.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive range of beauty treatments including waxing, facials, massages and other therapeutic services
• Consult with clients to understand their beauty and skincare needs, and recommend appropriate treatments and products
• Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes to ensure continuity of care
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment and products are clean, sterilised and ready for use
• Follow all health, safety and hygiene protocols, including proper sanitation and infection control procedures
• Deliver treatments with precision and attention to detail, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction
• Provide professional advice on skincare routines, aftercare and product recommendations
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming salon atmosphere, building strong client relationships
• Manage your time effectively to accommodate the salon's scheduling and booking system

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification or certification in beauty therapy, aesthetics, or a related discipline
• Proven experience working as a beautician or beauty therapist in a salon environment
• Competency in a range of beauty treatments, including waxing, facials, massage and skincare services
• Strong knowledge of skincare products, ingredients and their applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to make clients feel relaxed and valued
• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professional conduct
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant health and safety certifications
• Physical stamina to perform treatments that require prolonged standing and detailed manual work
• Ability to work flexibly, including evening and weekend shifts as required
