Melbourne-based | National Travel | Full Time | In-Office Engagement Required

The hiring company is a well-established Australian manufacturer supplying engineered safety solutions to industrial and OEM markets as well as maintaining a strong retail channel. With a strong product development pipeline and supportive leadership, they’re now investing in the growth of their industrial division. This is a unique opportunity to join a stable and collaborative team where you’ll work closely with technical and commercial stakeholders across the business.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Industrial Safety Solutions market. You\u2019ll be responsible for creating and delivering a national sales strategy that expands footprint across industries such as mining, construction, mobile plant, logistics, and more. The role is based in Melbourne with regular interstate travel and an expectation of in-office collaboration as well as with colleagues in the US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a national sales strategy targeting industrial clients
  • Identify high-value B2B opportunities and manage full sales cycle
  • Promote safety innovations such as proprietary restraints and engineered solutions
  • Lead digital sales growth via e-commerce (Shopify)
  • Build relationships from operational teams to senior decision-makers
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams on custom solutions
  • Provide regular reporting on sales metrics and forecasts
  • Take part in weekly sales and strategy sessions
Ideal Candidate
  • Proven track record in B2B sales within industrial, manufacturing, or technical environments
  • Passion for creating and maintaining a safe work environment and selling that passion to your customers
  • Strategic selling skills
  • Ability to analyse broad market opportunities and devise the right sales strategy and direction - then execute
  • Confident selling to both end users and senior leadership
  • Technically minded with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with CRM platforms (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
  • Experience in Shopify or managing online sales channels is highly regarded
  • Comfortable with regular travel and in-person engagement
  • Must be Melbourne-based and available for office-based work in Northern suburbs
