Andaz Gold Coast, part of Hyatt, is seeking a Barista who understands that great coffee is craft, rhythm and connection. You will craft espresso-based beverages to a high standard, keep the coffee station clean and busy service flowing, and welcome guests with warmth.

Bring previous barista experience, strong espresso and milk-texturing skills, keen attention to detail, and a collaborative, guest-focused approach.

• Previous barista experience in a café, restaurant, hotel or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Strong espresso preparation and milk-texturing skills.
• A genuine interest in coffee, quality and consistency.
• Confidence working through busy breakfast and service periods.
• Warm, intuitive guest service.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• A positive, collaborative approach with your fellow colleagues.
• The ability to stay organised, clean and composed behind the bar.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
• You must already have current and ongoing working rights

You’re someone who feels at home behind the coffee machine.

You know how to dial in a grinder, pull a consistent espresso and texture milk with confidence. You notice when something is slightly off and take pride in getting it right.

Just as importantly, you enjoy people.

You’re naturally welcoming, calm when the pace picks up and comfortable starting a conversation with guests from all over the world. You bring personality to your service without making it feel rehearsed.
