Job summary

Cafe Cornucopia in Balmain East is seeking a passionate Barista to join our team on a part-time basis. You will craft beverages, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and support daily cafe operations. Qualifications

• Barista qualification or relevant formal training in coffee preparation and café operations.
• Proficiency operating espresso machines and other café equipment.
• Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• Experience in a café or hospitality environment preferred.
• Flexibility to work part-time mornings, afternoons and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages to high standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other café equipment.
• Take orders accurately and provide beverage recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions securely.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with basic food preparation and stock management as required.
• Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth café operations.
