Job summary

Cornerstone Café at Bankstown Sports is seeking an experienced Barista for a busy, fast-paced venue. You will craft quality coffee, manage orders, and contribute to a smooth service during peak times.

In this role you’ll dial in grinders, present latte art, and support the wider café and F&B team across shifts. The position offers flexible hours from early mornings through late nights, with growth opportunities within a large hospitality group.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality coffee and hot/cold beverages.
• Free pour latte art and present consistent results.
• Dial in grinders and adjust to the recipe.

• Coordinate with team to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
• Maintain and clean coffee machines and workspace.
• Restock and monitor stock levels.
• Provide friendly service to members and guests.
• Support wider cafe and F&B team as needed.

We’re looking for an experienced Barista to join our team at Cornerstone Café, located within Bankstown Sports, one of Sydney’s busiest hospitality venues.

This is a casual position offering part-time to full-time equivalent hours, with consistent shifts, flexibility and opportunities to grow within a large hospitality group. Shifts range from early 6am starts through to late nights, giving you plenty of variety across the week.

As part of the wider Bankstown Sports Group, you’ll also have opportunities to cross-train and gain experience across our other venues and food & beverage operations.

About the Role

As a Barista at Cornerstone, you’ll be working in a high-volume environment where speed, consistency and great customer service matter.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Preparing quality coffee and hot and cold beverages
• Free pouring latte art and consistently presenting great coffee
• Dialling in grinders using scales and adjusting to recipe
• Taking and processing customer orders through the POS
• Coordinating with fellow Baristas to keep service flowing during busy periods
• Maintaining coffee machines, grinders and a clean, organised workspace
• Restocking and monitoring stock levels
• Providing friendly and efficient service to our members and guests
• Supporting the wider café and F&B team as required

About You

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys coffee and thrives in a busy hospitality environment.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Previous Barista experience in a busy, high-volume café
• Strong coffee knowledge and attention to quality
• Confidence with latte art and free pouring
• Experience dialling in grinders and adjusting coffee recipes
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Initiative and willingness to learn
• Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays
• RSA & RCG competency card, or willingness to obtain
