• Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks to a high standard.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and responding to specific requests.
• Operate and maintain cafe equipment including espresso machines, grinders, steamers and other brewing apparatus.
• Prepare light food items, snacks and pastries for service in accordance with cafe standards and health regulations.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and well‑organised work station and cafe environment at all times.
• Process payments accurately using the point‑of‑sale system and handle cash responsibly.
• Provide attentive and friendly customer service, building rapport and ensuring positive customer interactions.
• Support with general cafe duties including restocking supplies, managing inventory and clearing tables.
• Collaborate effectively with team members during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations.

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista and Cafe Allrounder to join the team at Twenty One Days Cafe. This is a casual position based in Glenroy VIC 3046. As a Barista and Cafe Allrounder, you will be the face of our cafe, delivering exceptional customer service whilst preparing high-quality beverages and food items. This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied with their experience at our establishment.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

Previous experience working as a barista or in a cafe environment is highly desirable

Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, coffee bean varieties and espresso-based drinks

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional and approachable demeanour

Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation

Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Reliable, punctual and flexible with availability to work casual shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays as required

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and order processing

A passion for hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for delivering an exceptional customer experience
