Job summary

ICC Sydney, a leading convention and entertainment precinct, is seeking an experienced Barista to join its world-class Event Delivery team. You will be the face of the venue in the Café at the entrance, delivering 5-star service and delicious coffee.

Responsibilities include preparing orders, greeting guests, assisting the retail team with POS, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment throughout the day. Availability for a 6:30am–3pm shift across a 7-day roster is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Barista; certification desirable.
• Passion for hospitality and industry knowledge.
• Availability to work 6:30am to 3pm across a 7 day roster.
• Immaculate personal presentation & grooming.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.

About this opportunity:

We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Barista to join our world-class Event Delivery team. You will be the face of our venue, working within our bustling Café at the entrance of our Convention Centre.

You will play a key role in the delivery of our Extraordinary experiences, working in a fast-paced environment while delivering 5-star service, and delicious coffee! You will:

• Work as a Barista within the Café, preparing coffee orders in a timely manner.
• Deliver 5-star service, greeting and serving our guests and clients and representing the ICC brand.
• Assist the retail team in taking orders using the POS system, restocking of fridges and serving Food & Beverage offerings.
• Ensuring the Café and surrounding areas are tidy and stock is replenished throughout the day.
• Completing open and close shifts, including maintenance of the coffee machine and general maintenance of the Café and area.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience as a Barista, qualification/certification desirable;
• Working knowledge of the industry along with a passion for Hospitality;
• Availability to work the hours of 6:30am to 3pm across a 7 day roster
• Immaculate personal presentation & grooming;
• Great communication and interpersonal skills;
• Passion for turning the ordinary into Extraordinary.
