Job summary

Infrastructure Business Growth Pty Ltd – Maroochydore QLD is seeking a Project Engineer - Ballast to lead ballast sourcing, logistics and placement across track works on a major South East Queensland rail project. You will plan ballast testing, manage stockpiling and delivery, coordinate survey and tolerance control for depth and alignment, and monitor production and material conformance.

Australian experience and a current construction induction card are required; relocation packages are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil, construction or railway engineering.
5-8 years' contractor delivery experience including track formation, earthworks, quarry materials or rail infrastructure.
Current construction induction card and valid driver's licence.
Ability to obtain project-specific rail, site and medical competencies.
Contractor-side experience with work packs, RFIs, ITPs, subcontractor coordination and progress measurement.

Responsibilities

Plan ballast sourcing, testing, delivery, stockpiling, handling and placement to meet the track sequence.
Verify formation, drainage, capping and access readiness before ballast placement.
Coordinate survey and tolerance control for ballast depth, profile, alignment and interfaces.
Monitor production rates, material reconciliation, haulage performance and contamination controls.
Compile lot-based inspection, test, survey and material-conformance records for acceptance.
