Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of meals and food products.
• Preparing ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces, salads, and other food items.
• Following recipes, portion sizes, and established food preparation procedures.
• Ensuring food is cooked properly and meets quality, taste, freshness, and presentation standards.
• Preparing food efficiently to meet customer demand during busy periods.
• Monitoring the quality and freshness of ingredients and prepared food.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Ensuring proper storage, labelling, and handling of food and ingredients.
• Operating cooking equipment and kitchen appliances safely and correctly.
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, work areas, utensils, and preparation areas.
• Monitoring stock levels and informing management when ingredients and supplies need to be ordered.
• Assisting with stock rotation and minimising food wastage.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and food safety regulations.
• Assisting with menu preparation and maintaining consistency in food quality.
• Working closely with other kitchen and bakery staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintaining an organised, clean, and efficient kitchen environment.
• Supporting other kitchen duties as required by management.
