Job summary

TikTok in Sydney is seeking engineers for the Live Revenue Engineering Team to help build a real-time, high-performance, large-scale distributed infrastructure for live streaming and gifting features used by millions of users and streamers.

You will plan and lead large-scale technical projects, develop robust technology solutions, and contribute to engineering strategy, tooling, and processes while researching cutting-edge knowledge to advance the product.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, highly available distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java or C++.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of databases and messaging frameworks such as MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Extensive experience in designing and developing scalable, highly available, distributed, and mission-critical systems.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Go, Python, Java, C++.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of common databases and messaging frameworks such as MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.
