Job summary

TikTok LIVE Foundation is seeking students for internships in November/December 2026 to gain industry exposure and hands-on experience with the TikTok LIVE platform. You will work on UI development, infrastructure tooling, and cross-team collaboration to support live streaming products and creator services.

The role emphasizes building engaging user interfaces for PC and mobile, plus contributing to scalable engineering solutions that empower the TikTok LIVE ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid front-end programming skills with experience in solving browser compatibility issues and optimizing front-end performance.
• Understand front-end engineering and component development, having a certain design skill set and familiar with at least one MV* framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop user-interfaces for TikTok LIVE on PC/Mobile, including Middle platform and events.
• Build infrastructures to support TikTok LIVE's business and productivity tools.
• Create high-quality user experiences to grow the TikTok LIVE ecosystem with strong design and code.
• Explore collaborative methods to improve remote and cross-regional communication and support iteration of the business.

TikTok LIVE Foundation team supports the TikTok LIVE SMB Service, which aims to help TikTok's small and medium-sized business (SMB) merchants and creators diversify their customer acquisition strategies and business operations through live streaming by enhancing product capabilities, providing creator services, and offering professional live streaming content for users.

TikTok LIVE Revenue:

TikTok Live revenue engineering team is responsible for building the cutting-edge revenue ecosystem which includes gifting and other revenue features that are innovative, secure and intuitive for our users. As an important member of the engineering team, you will build solutions that affect millions of users and live streamers.

Responsibilities

• To develop user-interfaces for TikTok LIVE on PC/ Mobile Devices, including Middle platform, Operating platform, Products for users, Events with Multi-scales and etc.
• To develop infrastructures such as engineering solutions that will be supporting TikTok LIVE's business and productivity tools and platforms.
• Create the ultimate user experience and support the growth and development of the TikTok LIVE Ecosystem with high-quality design and coding.
• Explore and implement efficient collaboration methods to enhance the efficiency of remote and cross-regional communication and support the iteration of our business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid front-end programming skills with experience in solving browser compatibility issues and optimizing front-end performance.
• Understand front-end engineering and component development, having a certain design skill set and familiar with at least one MV* framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent service awareness, learning ability, communication and collaboration ability to use in communication and collaboration.
• Good to have experience in multi-end (Native/PC/Server) development.
• Good to have experience in participating or leading large-scale projects and open source projects.
• Good to have experience in writing tech articles or tech blogs.
