Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Backend Developer to join a global leader in building automation and digital solutions in NSW. You will handle design, development, and enhancement of backend systems across the full software lifecycle using modern methodologies and practices.

You will build scalable, high-quality services, web APIs and integrated components, working in an Agile environment with collaborative teams and stakeholders. Strong emphasis on testing and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience building web-based software with modern tools and techniques.
• Strong backend development with .NET/C# and REST services.
• Experience with WCF, gRPC or similar RPC frameworks is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance software solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
• Develop high-quality, scalable and reliable backend applications and services.
• Work within an Agile development environment and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Develop and maintain web services and APIs using modern technologies.
• Provide responsive technical support for software solutions and assist with issue resolution.
• Collaborate with software engineers, technical teams and stakeholders to identify and implement best-practice solutions.
• Contribute to automated unit and integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews and technical problem-solving.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience developing high-quality web-based solutions using modern development tools and techniques.
• Strong backend development experience with .NET / C#.
• Experience developing Web Services and REST APIs.
• Experience with technologies such as WCF, gRPC and/or C++ is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalable and performant application design.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
