Job summary

Texel Air Australasia invites expressions of interest from qualified Captains to lead our Darwin-based B737NG cargo operation. You will command flights, ensure safety, and uphold service excellence as we grow globally with a family-focused culture.

The role requires an ATPL (NZCAA or CASA) with 737NG type rating and recent experience, plus extensive flight hours. Darwin relocation is expected for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current ATPL issued by the NZ Civil Aviation Authority or CASA, with eligibility for NZ ATPL under the TTMRA.
• Current Boeing 737NG type rating, with recent experience on the type within the last five years.
• Flight time: 6,000 hours total; 3,000 hours on multi-pilot aircraft.
• PIC hours: 1,000 on B737NG or 2,000 on types over 50 tonnes MTOW.

Minimum qualifications & hours

• License: Current ATPL issued by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority or the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia, with eligibility for a NZ ATPL under the TTMRA.
• Type Rating: Current Boeing 737NG (specifically not the 737 MAX), with recent experience on type within the last five years.
• Flight Time:
  • 6,000 hours total time.
  • 3,000 hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA).
  • EITHER 1,000 hours PIC on B737NG OR 2,000 hours PIC on types over 50 tonnes MTOW.
