Job summary

L3Harris Australia (Integrated Mission Systems Australia) is seeking a B2 Technician based near RAAF Base Edinburgh to perform maintenance on MC-55A aircraft under DASR authorisations and RAAF requirements. You will deploy in support of 10SQN operations, focusing on mission systems and related ground infrastructure.

The role requires holding and maintaining an Australian Defence PV security clearance, and willingness to travel interstate or overseas.

Qualifications

• Prior experience within the aerospace or Defence industry.
• DASR Part 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence applicable to the aircraft platform under maintenance.
• Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience evaluating and interpreting technical data and maintenance documentation.
• Experience applying WHS and risk management principles in a technical environment.
• Willing and able to travel overseas or interstate for periods of time as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MC-55A aircraft in accordance with DASR authorisations and RAAF requirements.
• Support 10SQN operations with focus on mission systems and related ground systems.
• Contribute to aircraft availability and mission readiness for deployment.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure timely maintenance.

About the role

Based out of RAAF Base Edinburgh we are seeking a B2 Technician to conduct maintenance activities of MC-55A , in accordance with DASR authorisations issued by RAAF. The B2 Technician will deploy in support of 10SQN operations with particular focus on supporting Mission System aspects and related ground systems.

As a B2 Technician, you will support MC-55A aircraft operations by performing maintenance activities in accordance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) authorisations and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) requirements. Working closely with operational and engineering teams, you will contribute to aircraft availability, mission readiness, and deployment activities while supporting critical Defence capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly skilled team supporting advanced airborne missions systems and military aviation operations.

You will be required to hold and maintain a PV Australian Defence Security Clearance.
