Job summary

The Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to maintain and service Pilatus PC12/PC24 aircraft across remote locations. You will work under CASA regulations and RFDS procedures, reporting to the Senior Base Engineer, and contribute to safe aeromedical operations.

Requirements include CASA Part 66 with B1/B2 licensing and experience with Pilatus PC12/PC24, Textron C208, and PT6A engines.

Qualifications

• Must hold CASA Part 66, B1 and/or B2 licensing.
• Experience with Pilatus PC12, PC24 and Textron C208 aircraft preferred.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service the fleet of Pilatus PC12 and PC24 aircraft to CASA standards.
• Ensure compliance with RFDS procedures and guidelines and record accurate maintenance data.
• Collaborate with Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance teams under supervision of Senior Base Engineer.

About this role

Our engineering team plays a pivotal role in enabling the delivery of vital aeromedical services to rural and remote locations. Reporting to the Senior Base Engineer, the LAME is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance and servicing of the fleet of Pilatus PC12 and PC24 aircraft. The LAME must maintain compliance with CASA regulations and RFDS operating procedures, manuals and guidelines, and is guided by our Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance team.

About You

You are a proven performer in a similar role, CASA Part 66, B1 and/or B2 Licensing is required, and experience with Pilatus PC12, Textron C208 aircraft and PWC PT6A engines is highly desirable.
