Job summary

Strategic Partners Australia seeks Senior Azure Cloud Platform Infrastructure Engineers (EL1) to design, develop and implement Azure-based infrastructure for data and analytics workloads in a federal government context. The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, Databricks/Microsoft Fabric, and advanced AI/ML operations, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams using Agile methodologies.

Eligibility requires NV1 security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and maintaining cloud hosted platforms and services.
• Experience deploying infrastructure using IaC (Terraform).
• Knowledge of cloud security: IAM, Networking, and policy.
• Experience in Data & Analytics projects (Data Engineering/Storage/Data Science).
• Familiarity with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric and ML/LLMOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement Azure-based infrastructure for data and analytics workloads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver IAAS/IAAS solutions.
• Lead IaC deployments and ensure security and compliance.
• Support delivery and administration of data technologies and platforms.

Key duties and responsibilities

The roles will be responsible for the detailed solution design, development, and implementation of infrastructure in Azure in support of data and analytics workloads. These outcomes are delivered using an infrastructure as code deployment model using Terraform and the successful candidate with require experience with the following platforms and technology:

• Azure hosted Data and Analytics Platforms such as
• Logic Apps
• Azure security features such as
• Networking
• Identity and Access Management
• Policy
• Infrastructure as Code
• Terraform based infrastructure management
• Collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements to design and implement Advanced Analytics and AI solutions.
• Experience in delivery and/or administration of Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or other analytical services.
• Experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and Large Language Model Operations (LLMOps).
• Delivery and or administration experience with traditional data technology solutions

Criteria

• 1.Experience designing, building and maintaining cloud hosted platforms and services (Infrastructure, Platform and Software as a Service)
• 2.Experience developing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure using an infrastructure as code (IaC) approach
• 3.Understanding of cloud security features for platforms and services such as Identity and Access Management, Networking and Policy
• 4.Experience working in Data and Analytics focused projects (Data Engineering, Storage or Data Science)
• 5.Working with multi-disciplinary teams using an Agile methodology
• 1.Experience work with Data Lake
• 2.Experience working with Geospatial platforms
