Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions – Melbourne VIC is seeking experienced Azure Platform Engineers for a 6-12 month daily rate contract. You will design, build and optimise secure, scalable Azure platforms and help deliver cloud services for a government transformation program.

The role requires hands-on IaC (Terraform/Bicep), Azure DevOps and CI/CD expertise, strong security and governance mindset, and an active NV1 clearance. Melbourne-based, start within 2 weeks.

Qualifications

• Contractor with hands-on Azure platform engineering experience.
• Experience designing secure, scalable Azure infrastructure.
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD tooling.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep.

We're currently partnering with a gov organisation delivering a major cloud and technology transformation programs and are seeking experienced Azure Platform Engineers with an active NV1 Security Clearance to support upcoming contract engagements in Melbourne.

This is an opportunity to work on mission-critical environments, helping design, build and optimise secure, scalable Azure platforms that enable modern application delivery and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks
• Implement cloud governance, security and operational best practices

Skills & Experience
