Job summary

Monash Health in Melbourne is seeking a DevOps Platform Engineer to build a new cloud development platform designed to address real clinical and operational challenges using modern technologies and artificial intelligence.

Working within a small, innovative and driven team, you will establish the secure, reliable and scalable cloud foundations needed to deliver digital products for frontline staff and patients. Applications close: 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code.
Strong Microsoft Azure expertise and experience with Bicep.
Experience building and managing API platforms.
Knowledge of cloud security controls including IAM, Secrets, and network security.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Hands-on telemetry, monitoring and alerting experience.
Understanding of privacy and data protection obligations for systems with sensitive information.
Ability to communicate technical decisions and provide technical leadership.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and manage Azure infrastructure and shared platform services.
Automate infrastructure and release processes; establish monitoring and reliability measures.
Manage environments, incident response, disaster recovery and cloud consumption.
Maintain governance and clear technical documentation.
Collaborate with clinical, product, engineering, cybersecurity and technical teams.
