Job summary

Microsoft seeks a hands-on DevOps and Automation Engineer for a contract role through Allegis Global Solutions. You will design, build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure and automation powering software development and AI model training and deployment.

Expect work across CI/CD, Azure, Python automation, tooling, and operations to boost engineering efficiency. You will implement IaC, manage environments, monitor health, troubleshoot issues, and drive reliability and productivity through

Qualifications

• 2+ years in DevOps, CI/CD, or build/release engineering
• 2+ years Python scripting in engineering or operations
• 2+ years with Azure or another major cloud
• Experience with Git and modern source control workflows
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain CI/CD pipelines for development and delivery
• Automate build, test, packaging, deployment and release processes
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools
• Provision and maintain Azure resources and dev environments
• Support source control, build systems, artifacts, and release workflows
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation
• Manage dependencies, credentials, secrets, and deployment settings
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and health checks
• Troubleshoot CI/CD, build, deployment, and environment issues
• Improve reliability and productivity through automation
• Support containerized apps and deployment environments
• Identify repetitive processes and build tools to reduce manual work
• Collaborate with engineers to improve workflows
• Create and maintain technical docs and runbooks
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve workflows
