Job summary

Osborne Richardson is recruiting a Cloud Specialist to design, implement, and govern cloud infrastructure for a public sector Council. You will lead migrations, establish standards, and drive security and cost governance across multi-cloud environments.

The role demands IaC, Terraform, Terraform, and strong DevOps practices, with hands-on Kubernetes and container experience. Broadmeadows-based, start ASAP, contract to 8 Apr 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep)
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies for performance and cost efficiency.
• Design and maintain enterprise cloud architecture including networking, identity, security, monitoring and governance.
• Establish cloud landing zones and architectural standards for deployments.
• Develop migration strategies including rehost, replatform, refactor or SaaS adoption.
• Plan and lead migration waves and workload transitions.
• Provide technical leadership during migration execution.
• Deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and core platform services.
• Build hybrid infrastructure integrating on-premise environments with cloud platforms.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting across cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure cloud platforms comply with cybersecurity and information governance policies.
