Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment in Canberra is seeking a Cloud Engineer to own Azure-based infrastructure, including on-prem systems, and to drive secure, scalable platforms across engineering and operations. You will design, build, and support networking, security controls, and DevOps automation, working autonomously in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on documentation and continuous improvement.

Key requirements include hands-on Azure experience, strong networking skills, Windows/Linux

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing).
• Experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Understanding of security best practices (IAM, least privilege, patching).
• Scripting capability (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Ability to operate autonomously in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support Azure-based infrastructure alongside on-prem systems.
• Manage networking (VNets, VPNs, firewalls, routing).
• Support end-user platforms across Windows and Linux.
• Strengthen security posture through patching, monitoring, and compliance controls.
• Automate processes using scripting and support DevOps integration.
• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
