Job summary

AWS Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC) Lead in Australia will direct physical security operations and incident response for AWS infrastructure region-wide, guiding a team of security professionals to safeguard assets and personnel.

The role requires a track record of 5+ years managing dispersed teams, a Diploma in Security and Risk Management (or higher), strong communication, and hands-on security risk management expertise. Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing medium-sized, geographically dispersed operational teams.
• Experience developing operational documentation and metrics/reports.
• Strong communication skills and ability to make fast, sound decisions.
• Experience in high-volume, high-intensity security environments (SOC, event security, crisis management).

Responsibilities

• Lead PSOC operations and incident response for AWS infrastructure.
• Oversee physical access control, alarms, and contracted guard forces.
• Coordinate internal/external communications and triage security inquiries.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve security procedures and performance metrics.
• Prepare clear security reports and distribute program-wide notifications.
