Job summary

The HR Ally is seeking an AWS Architect to design and deploy scalable, secure cloud solutions from Sydney, Australia. You will translate complex business and technical requirements into robust cloud architectures, lead migration and modernization initiatives, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and AWS Well-Architected best practices.

You will collaborate with data scientists to integrate ML models, define reusable patterns, and oversee DevOps practices, monitoring, and automation

Qualifications

• Design and deploy scalable AWS solutions meeting business needs.

• Lead migration and modernization initiatives.
• Select appropriate AWS services for compute, storage, database, networking and security.
• Ensure security, reliability, performance and cost adherence per Well-Architected Framework.
• Define architecture standards and reusable patterns.
• Conduct architecture reviews (HLD/LLD) per enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate ML models.
• Ensure data security and governance, ethical AI usage.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems and API integration.
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes preferred.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and automation tools.
• Hands-on with AWS: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, CloudFormation.

Experience: 13+ yrs

Must Have Experience:

• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions on AWS
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust cloud architectures
• Lead cloud strategy, migration, and modernization initiatives
• Select appropriate AWS services (compute, storage, database, networking, security)
• Ensure adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework (security, reliability, performance, cost)
• Define architecture standards, guidelines, and reusable patterns
• Conduct architecture reviews (HLD/LLD) and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate ML models into applications
• Ensure data security, governance, and ethical AI usage
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API integration
• Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes preferred)
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and automation tools
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, CloudFormation

Good to Have experience:

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
