Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Electrical/Avionics Engineer to join the C-17 Globemaster III sustainment and support team at RAAF Base Amberley.

You will work with the ADF to sustain and enhance the C-17 capability, integrate software and avionics modifications, and develop verification and certification programs. This role offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across large transport aircraft systems and opportunities to contribute to national defence missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Avionics, Software, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics.
• Minimum of 2 years avionics engineering experience.
• Experience within Aviation environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and enhance the C-17 capability with the ADF.
• Integrate new software and avionics modifications into the C-17 and sustainment system.
• Develop software and avionics verification and certification programs.
• Assess compatibility for carriage and operation of new aircraft role equipment.
• Provide assessments for hazard management relating to aviation software, avionics and electrical systems.
