Job summary

Sapsol Technologies Inc. seeks an Avionics Electrical Design Engineer in Melbourne to lead schematic capture and PCB layout for airborne electronics.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB/board layout for avionics electronics.
• Understanding of high-speed RF, EMI/EMC, and signal integrity design principles.
• Experience taking designs from concept → schematic → PCB layout → prototype → testing → qualification.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical schematics and circuit designs for avionics systems.
• Design RF/electrical circuits, including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and related interfaces.
• Perform PCB layout, including high-speed PCB design, signal integrity, and power integrity considerations.
• Apply EMI/EMC design practices throughout schematic and PCB development.
• Conduct circuit analysis and simulations using MATLAB, SPICE, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent tools.
• Support design verification, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of electrical/PCB issues.
• Perform and support environmental, RF emissions, RF susceptibility, and lightning testing.
• Ensure designs comply with aerospace and airborne hardware standards, including DO-160 and DO-254.
• Work with test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Collaborate with systems, embedded, mechanical, manufacturing, and verification teams.
• Support design reviews, documentation, qualification, and production release activities.
