Job summary

ACESGroup is seeking an Aviation Screening Officer for Rockhampton on a casual basis to help protect airside operations and facilities. You will conduct screenings, follow procedures, and support gatehouse duties while maintaining high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Certificate II Transport Security Protection is essential.
• QLD Security Licence is essential.
• AUS Aviation Security ID card or ability to obtain.
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate or ability to obtain.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with passengers.
• Follow established protocols to ensure security compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Able to pass Drug & Alcohol testing.

Aviation Screening Officer (Rockhampton)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced casual Aviation Screener to join our team in Rockhampton.
As an Aviation Screening Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of services flowing through our facilities. You will be responsible for conducting thorough screenings and performing security related taskings to include gatehouse duties. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

• Perform security screenings using screening equipment
• Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with transportation security regulations and guidelines
• Identify and respond to potential threats, prohibited weapons, and suspicious behaviours
• Document and report any security incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

Skills, Experience & REequirements

• Certificate II Transport Security Protection (essential)
• QLD Security Licence (essential)
• AUS or relevant port, Aviation Security Identification Card (or ability to obtain)
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate ( or ability to obtain)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills to identify potential threats and prohibited items
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with passengers and provide clear instructions
• Ability to follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with security regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to respond to security incidents and emergencies
• Excellent computer skills to operate security screening equipment and report incidents
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective security screening processes
• Ability to successfully pass Drug & Alcohol testing.
