Job summary

Jetstar, part of the Qantas Group, seeks a commercially minded Networks Analyst to join the Network Planning team in Melbourne. You will influence capacity, routes and schedule decisions, partnering with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Scheduling, Operations and Finance to shape Jetstar's future network.

You will develop business cases, model seasonal demand, and present insights that drive profitability and growth across the domestic network.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working with large and complex data sets.
• Ability to translate analysis into meaningful commercial recommendations.
• Strong commercial acumen and business judgement.
• Confidence communicating insights to stakeholders.
• Experience developing financial models, business cases or strategic recommendations.
• Proactive and inquisitive approach to solving complex business problems.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
• Candidates from commercial analytics, finance, consulting, revenue management, aviation or strategy are encouraged.
• Aviation experience is advantageous but not essential.

• Analysing network performance and identifying opportunities to optimise profitability.
• Supporting capacity planning decisions across the domestic network.
• Evaluating route performance and future network opportunities.
• Developing business cases for new routes, network initiatives and strategic projects.
• Modelling seasonal demand trends and assessing future growth opportunities.
• Providing commercial recommendations on aircraft deployment and schedule changes.
• Partnering with Scheduling, Revenue Management, Operations and Finance teams to support decision making.
• Building analytical models and tools that improve network planning outcomes.
• Presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
