Job summary

Airservices Australia, based in Sydney, is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to maintain and install critical mechanical systems that support Australia’s air traffic control and aviation rescue firefighting operations.

Working from Sydney Airport and across NSW, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on chilled water systems, cooling towers and air handling units, with opportunities to expand into aviation equipment while enjoying long-term stability and meaningful career

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and installing HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, building management systems, packaged units and split systems.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work with limited supervision to deliver quality outcomes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships within a technical team.
• A commitment to safety, continuous improvement and delivering a high standard of service.
• An interest in developing new skills and expanding into aviation-critical systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Performance of time sensitive preventive and corrective maintenance, and project installation activities in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.
• Maintaining an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on Airservices systems.
• Timely and accurate data entry into the maintenance management systems.
• Actively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices.
