Job summary

Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Officer to keep GCAPL grounds and infrastructure safe, well maintained and compliant with airport standards.

You will work hands-on, performing slashing, drainage, vegetation management and minor repairs, operating ride-on machinery. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential; licences such as MR, herbicide, bobcat and forklift are valued but not essential. Flexible working options are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale or commercial grounds maintenance.
• Licences such as Medium Rigid, herbicide, bobcat and forklift are highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong safety focus and practical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Keep GCAPL grounds tidy and in compliance with airport safety requirements.
• Repair and maintain GCAPL infrastructure in line with airport standards.
• Identify WHS issues and report using the proper procedure.
• Maintain grounds including drainage, slashing, clearing and general housekeeping.
• Operate ride-on equipment and light mechanical plant.
