Job summary

Certis Australia is seeking skilled Cargo Screeners in Port Hedland to ensure secure handling of cargo through electronic and physical screening. The role requires adherence to aviation and transport security standards and a commitment to high-quality screening in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers casual shifts with day, afternoon, night, weekend and public holiday work. Successful applicants will undergo paid training and accreditation before performing duties independently.

Qualifications

• Current WA Security Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and observational abilities.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Flexibility to work a variety of casual shifts.
• Experience in aviation, transport or logistics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray screening and other approved detection equipment.
• Monitor and interpret X-ray images to identify threats or prohibited items.
• Conduct physical inspections and searches of cargo as required.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Maintain accurate records, logs and screening documentation.
