Job summary

Diversified is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to deliver innovative AV solutions in Brisbane, Australia. You will develop technical designs and documentation, perform engineering calculations, research new technologies, and support across project delivery, installation and commissioning.

This hands-on role requires strong knowledge of video, audio and control systems, plus proficiency with AutoCAD. You will collaborate with Sales, Project and Technical teams to tailor solutions and

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of video, audio and control systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD line diagrams and layouts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for design documentation.
• Tertiary engineering qualification; electronics/telecommunications preferred.
• Must hold Australian citizenship to access certain sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions meeting customer functional requirements.
• Identify service requirements for a successful AV implementation.
• Develop design documentation with drafting team (sketches, markup, review).
• Perform engineering calculations (heat loads, spacing, loading, power, signal loss).
• Research and implement new technologies.
• Manage project documents and write manuals and commissioning procedures.
• Design mounting hardware and brackets for AV equipment.
• Engage with external organisations for certification as required.
• Provide technical support to installation and project teams.
• Assist Sales with product knowledge and design solutions.
