Job summary

Ornata is seeking a field-based Service Technician to service Ornata-enabled machinery across the Wimmera/Mallee region. You will respond quickly to sites, perform basic diagnostics, replace components, and install sensors while acting as the local liaison for the engineering team.

This safety-critical role requires independence and a willingness to travel. Time may be spent at the Richmond head office for training and to support the hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with agricultural machinery.
• Experience working with farmers on farms.
• Hands-on auto-electrical and electrical ability.
• Basic mechanical skills—installing electrical systems and fabricating mounting brackets.
• Willingness to travel and be on the road.
• A current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond on call and reach customer sites quickly with the necessary tools and parts.
• Run basic diagnostics on Ornata's system using our tools.
• Replace components and install sensors on customer machinery.
• Serve as eyes, ears and hands on site for the engineering team when they connect remotely.
• Work safely on and around large agricultural machinery at all times.
• Spend time at Richmond head office for training and to support hardware teams.
