Job summary

Opal Specialty Packaging in Orchard Hills, NSW, seeks a skilled Electrician to join the new site maintenance team as the sole site Electrician. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, reporting to the Site Engineering Manager and collaborating with fitters to keep a critical packaging facility running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrical License and Electrical Trades Certification are required.
• PLC certification is required; robotics and industrial electronics experience highly desirable.
• Strong problem solving and ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and rectify electrical systems across all plant equipment to ensure optimum performance and minimal downtime.
• Identify and analyse electrical maintenance issues, collaborating with Managers and Operators to resolve problems.
• Review plant operations to enhance electrical system performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure plant and equipment meet Australian Standards, Quality, and HACCP requirements; maintain ZERO Harm mindset.
• Provide trade guidance to team members and coordinate/supervise contract work on-site.
