Job summary

Mount Isa Hospital in North West Queensland is seeking a Clinical Midwife - Caseload for the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP). You will provide autonomous, evidence-based, woman-centred care across pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period, partnering with women, families and a multidisciplinary team.

You will mentor graduates and early-career midwives within the MGP model while delivering advanced clinical leadership in a remote regional setting.

Qualifications

• Mandatory requirements: relevant tertiary degree and registration/licence as a Registered Midwife.
• Postgraduate qualification or current enrollment is highly desirable.
• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
• Pre-employment screening including criminal history checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of care across the maternity journey, managing an all-risk caseload.
• Lead with clinical expertise, using advanced assessment and critical thinking to support care needs.
