Job summary

Job Q in Melbourne is seeking a Configuration & Data Management Specialist to lead CM and data governance on a major program. You will manage baselines, changes, and documentation, ensuring traceability and controlled data across the lifecycle, with strong autonomy and visibility across engineering and project teams.

Ideal candidates have experience in regulated engineering environments, PLM knowledge, and SharePoint administration.

Qualifications

• Experience in Configuration Management, Data Management or Document Control within complex projects or engineering environments.
• Experience using specialist CM and/or engineering data management systems.
• Strong understanding of configuration control, baselines, technical documentation and change processes.
• Strong stakeholder management across engineering and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Configuration Management activities across the program in accordance with CM processes and governance.
• Manage engineering data, technical documentation and associated project information.
• Support Configuration Control Boards, tracking approved configuration changes and actions.
• Establish and maintain engineering baselines within the CM toolset.
• Support preparation for physical configuration audits.
• Develop and maintain system and product breakdown structures within the CM database.
• Prepare and issue Configuration Status Account Reports (CSARs).
• Maintain program information, documentation and configuration registers.
• Receive, register, control and distribute customer and supplier technical data.
• Ensure documentation and data is reviewed, approved, stored and controlled.
• Manage distribution and retrieval of controlled project documentation and media.
• Support software release activities through configuration status accounting.
• Collaborate to improve CM processes, workflows and governance.
